Angelo Solari is a pianist, actor, composer and theatre director.
Author mainly of works within the framework of contemporary musical theatre.
Between 1992 and 1999 he studied piano at the conservatory of music of the Universidad Católica de Valparaíso.
Actor graduated (2003) and Bachelor of Music with mention in Musical Composition (2009) from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
In 2012 he is awarded a scholarship for postgraduate studies at the Hochschule der Künste Bern, where he receives a Master of Arts in Composition and Theory with specialization in Music Theater (2014).
Throughout his career he has deepened his studies with various personalities of the theatre and contemporary music, such as: the Rimini Protoko collectifll, the percussionist Gaston Sylvstre, the actor Jos Houben, the composers Helmut Lachenmann, Heinz Holliger, Jennifer Walshe, among others. In 2014 he wins the "call for composers" of the Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt, Germany.
Solari's interest is based on the exploration of new poetic possibilities in the field of music-scene relationship, being one of the main characteristics of his work the integral composition of all the scenic parameters: sound, light, action, body.
Among his latest works of authorship are: "SEDA, Musical Narration of the novel by Alessandro Baricco (The Best of GAM 2012) " Momento; Variación (International Festival Santiago a Mil 2018), “Tarde de verano" (International Festival Santiago a Mil 2020) and "Audition", performance presented successfully in countries such as Poland, Australia, Germany, Switzerland and Chile.
In addition to her artistic work, Solari has a teaching career in Chile in the fields of composition, staging, performance and musical interpretation
